EMVY Design BDAA Commercial Interiors Commendation 2025

We’re delighted to share that EMVY Design has been recognised by the BDAA for excellence in Commercial Interior Design. A huge thank you to everyone who played a part in bringing this bold and energetic workspace to life.

This award-winning office interior design in Wollongong was created for a progressive real estate brand redefining its presence in the industry. The result is a vibrant, unapologetically pink space that captures the client’s fearless spirit and youthful energy.

The design features a custom colour palette with bold pinks at its core, delivering an unforgettable first impression. Bespoke joinery, statement lighting, and a carefully planned layout support both productivity and collaboration, blending playfulness with professionalism.

Every finish was chosen to balance aesthetics with function, creating a workspace that inspires creativity, connection, and confidence.

We’re honoured to have this project recognised — a true reflection of the vision, collaboration, and passion behind every EMVY Design interior.

More info on the project is also featured in this year’s Winning Design magazine. You can check it out here.

EMVY are proud to be part of the Building Designer Association of Australia and Highly Commended for the 2025 Commercial Interiors.

We’re incredibly honoured to share that our latest residential project has been recognised by the BDAA. On behalf of EMVY Design and everyone involved in bringing this home to life, we extend our heartfelt thanks for this acknowledgment. It’s a wonderful moment for our team, our collaborators and, most importantly, the family who now calls this place home.

This bespoke house in Wollongong has been thoughtfully crafted to follow the natural slope of the site, embracing the surrounding landscape rather than imposing upon it. The composition of tiered levels allows the home to nestle comfortably into its environment, continuing the modest and unassuming character of the original dwelling.

A standout feature is the hit-and-miss brick wall framing the street-facing façade. This element enhances privacy without compromising openness, allowing filtered light to soften the entrance and create a subtle sense of invitation. From here, a custom blackbutt timber door opens to a central spine anchored by ocean views, ensuring the landscape remains central to the experience of the home.

Adding a playful and personal touch, a vibrant yellow spiral staircase offers an unexpected vertical journey through the space. More than just a circulation element, it reflects the family’s dynamic energy and brings a moment of joy to everyday movement.

We’re deeply proud of this project and grateful to be recognised for the design outcome. Thank you again to the BDAA, our collaborators, and our clients for trusting us with their vision.
