EMVY Design has reimagined the modern Korean BBQ dining experience with a moody, atmospheric interior that balances drama and elegance. The design concept centres on a dark, immersive colour palette, complemented by rich textures and bold materiality. From the moment guests step inside, they are enveloped in a luxurious, almost theatrical environment that sets the tone for an elevated culinary experience.

The foundation of the space is a deep, charcoal-toned palette, matte black walls, dark-stained timber, and charcoal stone finishes create a cohesive backdrop that feels both intimate and refined. This subdued base allows the finer design details to shine, particularly the gold accents that are woven thoughtfully throughout the space.

Gold is used sparingly but with impact. Custom lighting fixtures, subtle inlays in the joinery, and trim elements add a layer of sophistication. The metallic finishes catch the light in just the right places, drawing attention to key features without overwhelming the senses. The interplay of light and dark, with ambient lighting strategically placed to enhance mood and function gives the restaurant an inviting glow that evolves from day to night.

EMVY paid careful attention to layout and flow, ensuring the practicality required for Korean BBQ is seamlessly integrated. Each table features a built-in grill, with ventilation systems discreetly housed within the tables themselves. A sleek and space-efficient solution that maintains the visual integrity of the dining area.

Seating throughout the restaurant is upholstered in a warm, golden yellow tone that contrasts beautifully with the darker surroundings. This pop of colour not only brings warmth to the space but also enhances the luxurious feel of the overall design.

The balance between modern minimalism and traditional Korean motifs is subtle but intentional, with EMVY incorporating patterns and textures inspired by Korean design in select wall treatments and decorative screens.

Overall, the design by EMVY offers a sensorial dining atmosphere, bold, immersive, and unmistakably refined,  perfectly aligned with the theatrical and social nature of Korean BBQ dining.
